In this role, you will be a part of the Project Management Office (PMO) team responsible for product development planning and overall progress on delivery and process adherence.

Tasks
  • - Establish and ensures the team follows proven Scrum practices

  • - Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies (e.g., coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups)

  • - Collaborate with Product Owner on to handle backlogs and new requests

  • - Plan the team capacity for each sprint

  • - Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur

  • - Track the team progress each sprint through velocity, burndown charts, and other metrics

  • - Coordinate customer demos as well as internal demos to enable learning and cross-training

  • - Manage delivery of functionality for key product domains

  • - Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration

  • - Help teams implement changes effectively

  • - Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint

  • - Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it

  • - Drive alignment and adherence to standards and direction set by the organization.

This position is for a Senior System Engineer supporting the different environments where Sabre hosts its solutions, with a very strong focus on the Cloud, and specifically the design and execution of the migration of applications from physical data centers to different Cloud environments. In general, these are the different types of projects where the candidate will be involved: Cloud Solutioning “Big rocks” – These are large scale/complexity programs which involve multidisciplinary teams, where Engineering provides technical expertise, knowledge of the broad Sabre environment, and a vision of risk analysis. These are normally led by some of the Sr. engineers. Airline cutovers – Normally initiated when an airline migrates to Sabre hosting. The engineering team supports the different phases of this process, from planning to customization and cutover. Application review and assessment (deep dive) – These reviews normally happen ad-hoc when a risk situation is detected, and can be triggered by different factors which include incidents and instability. Incident and problem support – From a more operational perspective, engineers engage on incident diagnose, troubleshooting and resolution, as well as in root cause analysis, and solution identification.

As our SynXis Retail Studio product exits pilot stage and transforms into a full-service solution, you will help design and develop a system that will enhance guest services and hotel management services.
